SUMMARY:Intro to Year-over-Year Trend Data using Tableau
DESCRIPTION:Lead Instructor: Alex Lao (Collections Data
Specialist)\n\n\n	Location: Hybrid\, Zoom and Huang Engineering Center
(Room 203)\, right outside Engineering Library - (limited to 50
 registrants)\n	Date and Time: 11:00AM–12:00PM\, Tuesday\, July 28\,
2026\n\n\nLibraries regularly need to evaluate how key metrics change over
time\, including costs\, collections\, usage and patron engagement.
Stakeholders often want to select a reporting year\, 2025\, and quickly
understand how it compares to the previous year: Has usage increased? Are
costs rising? Is cost-per-use improving? How are collections aligning with
user needs?\n\nYear-over-year (YoY) comparison is essential for identifying
trends\, evaluating value\, and supporting decisions around budgeting\,
 collection development and service priorities.
