Intro to Year-over-Year Trend Data using Tableau Online

  • Location: Hybrid, Zoom and Huang Engineering Center (Room 203), right outside Engineering Library - (limited to 50 registrants)
  • Date and Time: 11:00AM–12:00PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2026

Libraries regularly need to evaluate how key metrics change over time, including costs, collections, usage and patron engagement. Stakeholders often want to select a reporting year, 2025, and quickly understand how it compares to the previous year: Has usage increased? Are costs rising? Is cost-per-use improving? How are collections aligning with user needs?

Year-over-year (YoY) comparison is essential for identifying trends, evaluating value, and supporting decisions around budgeting, collection development and service priorities.
